What is more delightful than to sit in the warm corner of the room and savor the sparkling champagne with my all time and trusty Lasko flat heating panel. My sister and I used to have an ordinary heating system in our room but always find it too cold when winter season arrives. That is why we purchased the innovated Lasko heater because it gives the perfect heat and warmth that we needed to sleep well every cold night or day.

We had fun using the heater because of its easy features when turning or adjusting the heat that we needed. We also love how it looks and how it saves a lot of space rather than purchasing bulky room heater that is obviously difficult to manage. Our parents also loves the heater because it is not electricity consuming and has an overheat protection feature to keep us from injury.

Unlimited Recipes in Every Edition for Italian Food Lovers http://www.foodandbeyond.com/2017/05/08/unlimited-recipes-in-every-edition-for-italian-food-lovers/ Mon, 08 May 2017 18:44:57 +0000 http://www.foodandbeyond.com/?p=2452

Being an Italian who stayed in New York for seven years made me miss my local delicacies and specialty cuisines. Of course, nothing can beat the ultimate fettuccini and Bolognese with fresh tomatoes and mushrooms which makes want to go home immediately. However that would be a problem. I could not possible go home to Italy just to eat what I wanted instead I purchased Everyday Italian cookbook which surprisingly has 125 recipes that I love.

Searching for the recipe is simple as well as cooking it. With the cookbook in hand, I know that I can taste the sweet, aromatic and intense flavors of fresh ingredients every day without spending a lot over expensive recipes. Now I can share my all time favorite foods from Italy with my friends and family pair with a bottle of red and white wines for me to get the fullness of the flavors of the food.

What I love about this cookbook is how simple the recipes are and how easy to cook and find the ingredients. The cookbook introduced me to over 130 and more different types o caveman diets and recipes that I can make. The more interesting fact bout this cookbook is it comes in downloadable form which can be used when I am using my computer and tablets.

After a few months of sticking to my paleo diet with the use of paleo cookbook, I can see a big difference when it comes to my weight, health and performance. The taste of the foods is great and well seasoned. I know that having a low carbohydrate diet, moderate protein and high in fat and minerals will keep my body healthy.

Be Good to Your Skin http://www.foodandbeyond.com/2017/02/25/be-good-to-your-skin/ Sat, 25 Feb 2017 11:16:00 +0000 http://www.foodandbeyond.com/?p=2578
Our skin is the first thing that others see and judge us on. Are you beautiful and healthy? Your skin is the largest organ of your body. Its health is a general indicator of your overall health. Whether people realize it or not, they make unconscious decisions about you as a person, based on the quality and youthful appearance of your skin. To be perceived as beautiful, you should take good care of your skin.

That all starts with good nutrition. A good diet is important go get all the nutrients to the cells of your skin in the amounts necessary for it to be healthy. Your diet should have lots of fresh fruits and vegetables to get vitamins, such as vitamin E, C, and A.  You also need protein to repair damage and to create new skin cells as old ones constantly die off.  The fats that you eat are also important, as they are needed to process certain important vitamins needed by your skin. Eat healthy fats, like those found in olive oil and avocados.

When it is hot and dry or windy, your skin will lose more moisture than normal. Keep your skin soft with commercial lotions or you can even use olive oil or coconut oil to help your skin retain moisture and resist wrinkles.

The single most important thing you can do to protect yourself from skin cancer and premature aging is to limit exposure to the sun. You can do this in several ways. You can simply stay indoors. Limiting hours in the sun will limit the amount of UV rays that you receive.  This makes it hard to get exercise, be social or get the beneficial effects of sun exposure, such as the production of vitamin D3. If you are lacking you can take a D3 supplement that you can buy in any drugstore.

Sunscreen should be worn whenever you are in the sun. If you wear foundation makeup, be sure that you pick a brand that contains sunscreen. This also makes it easy to remember to put sunscreen on every single day.

You can also block the sun with clothing, such as hats. This will shield your face from the sun, which is the most vulnerable and easily damaged. Get swimsuit coverups from Aerie to limit sun exposure on days you are out in a swimsuit.

Take care of your skin when you are young and it will remain soft, supple and youthful looking for many years to come.

Yogurt goodness! http://www.foodandbeyond.com/2017/02/02/yogurt-goodness/ Thu, 02 Feb 2017 01:38:39 +0000 http://www.foodandbeyond.com/?p=2445

Yogurt has been popular in the food market because it carries plenty of benefits. And just what can we get from yogurt? Is it Health-wise, food-wise or skin-wise?

Yogurt is dairy product; it contains milk which has protein, calcium, magnesium, potassium, Vitamin B6 and B12. Plus it contains “probiotics”; these are the good bacteria present in our digestive system. These bacteria keep the colon healthy, it helps fight disease and strengthen our immune system. Add yogurt to your diet. You can make a smoothie out of it by combining your favorite fruit like berries or have some yogurt ice cream for dessert.

Yogurt can also be good for your skin. Recently it has become an ingredient for skin care, why? Because it can be used as a moisturizer, it has an anti-bacterial and anti-fungal property to fight against pimples, and it can also be used as an anti-aging cream.

New Technology for all of Us http://www.foodandbeyond.com/2017/01/30/new-technology-for-all-of-us/ Mon, 30 Jan 2017 11:18:08 +0000 http://www.foodandbeyond.com/?p=2569 With the release of new technology nowadays, we all can do whatever we want to make something look and feel a lot better. For instance, those models on the cover of the magazines that we see, I bet they aren’t that perfect and flawless in real life. Same goes for singers.

I bet that they really don’t have that amazing background music without the help of a akai mpc 1000. That is one good thing about our advance technology. It makes our life a lot easier and a lot better. I am not a big music fanatic but I have heard a song with and without the use of this equipment and I can tell that there is a big difference between the two.

Kimchi, a healthy traditional food http://www.foodandbeyond.com/2017/01/10/kimchi-a-healthy-traditional-food/ Tue, 10 Jan 2017 01:31:13 +0000 http://www.foodandbeyond.com/?p=2443

I went to a nearby Korean restaurant to try some of their other delicacies aside from kimchi but it turns out that most of the dish in their menu has kimchi as one their main ingredient. Koreans eat kimchi every day. A meal won’t be complete if there’s no kimchi available on the table. What’s with kimchi anyway? I love kimchi, I like it best when I’m eating grilled pork. The spiciness and its sourness really blend in with the grilled pork and I can’t help but scoop another ladle of rice! So it’s me pigging out again!

Eating kimchi is part of Korea’s culture and tradition, and this staple has become known in the world not just of its taste but also with its health benefits. Kimchi is stuffed with probiotics. It has lactobacilli bacteria that are good for our digestive system. It is also rich in fiber which is good for our colon. It has Vitamin A, B and C. In addition to that, because kimchi is loaded with peppers and garlic it is also rich in selenium that helps lowers blood cholesterol and aids our skin. And because cabbage mostly contain water and fewer calories it is also good for those who want to lose a few pounds. Seriously this is one hell of a super food!

Helpful Ways to Maximize the Efficiency of Your Home and Kitchen Areas http://www.foodandbeyond.com/2016/12/23/helpful-ways-to-maximize-the-efficiency-of-your-home-and-kitchen-areas/ Fri, 23 Dec 2016 15:48:10 +0000 http://www.foodandbeyond.com/?p=2558
If you own your own home or rent your own apartment you likely spend time cooking in the kitchen and decorating your house. Will all the competing ideas it can be a daunting task to get started on. Consider some of these quick tips and tricks to maximize the efficiency of your home and kitchen.

Redo the floors

If you have carpets or linoleum floors in your kitchen you need to rethink that decision immediately. Tile or wood flooring is the optimal flooring for kitchens and bathrooms. Carpet and linoleum have a porous nature to the material that brings in water and liquids and stains very easily. Tile and hardwood lend themselves perfectly to being cleaned easily and often. Homedepot.com is a great place to start for all your home improvement needs.

Get a robotic vacuum cleaner

If you have wood floors or tile you likely have to sweep them regularly to keep them clean. Have you ever thought about getting a roomba or other comparable robotic vacuum cleaner?

These handy devices sit on their docking stations until they are turned on. Once powered on they use a series of lasers to guide themselves around the room cleaning. While they aren’t great for huge hunks of dirt or clods they will perfectly clean small debris, dust, and pebbles. Once finished they return to their docking stations and continue to charge themselves. They can even be programmed to come on late at night or while you are away at work so you never have to see it. You will just come home to clean floors without ever having to think about it. Consider a robotic vacuum cleaner to cut down on time spent sweeping.

Put your electronics on a timer

Did you know that many household items use electricity even when not in use? Tv’s microwaves, and stereos are prime culprits. Consider putting these on an electrical timer that cuts their power when you are away or asleep. Electrical timers can be a great way to save money on your power bill and reduce the energy you use.

My Uncle’s Profession http://www.foodandbeyond.com/2016/12/15/my-uncles-profession/ Thu, 15 Dec 2016 19:52:49 +0000 http://www.foodandbeyond.com/?p=2553 My uncle was a professional saxophone player and instructor. He has been dead for almost a year now, and my cousin, his son seems to be following his footsteps. In addition to being a really beautiful sound, the saxophone has a special place in my heart. Whenever I hear a saxophone I think of my uncle and he feels close.

So in order to continue my uncle’s footstep, my father gifted my uncle’s son a tascam cd recorder saxophone on my cousin’s graduation day. He was so excited to use it and quickly played music at family dinner for us. He’s such a sweetheart and me and my family will support him all the way. I am excited to see him be like his father in just few years.
